Education and Training

Forest Holme Hospice, as part of University Hospitals Dorset, is one of the lead providers for palliative care education and training in the locality and offers a range of training courses throughout the year. The main aim of our education programme is to support the development of a multi-disciplinary team which is able to deliver high quality palliative care to all those who need it irrespective of diagnosis or place of care. We may also be able to provide bespoke training, depending on your needs.

Courses & Events

Courses hosted by the Macmillan Unit (MMU) will be held at the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth. Courses hosted by Forest Holme (FH) will be held at St Mary’s Church Hall on Longfleet Road, Poole or at Forest Holme.

All bookings must be made using our booking form and full payment must be received in advance of the course.

Advancing Skills in Palliative Care

Details:
2 day course for registered nurses working in hospitals, care homes or the community who wish to develop or refresh their skills in palliative care and improve their confidence in end of life care.
