We asked our supporters to create works of art inspired by the yellow ribbon, a selection is now on display for everyone to enjoy.
‘Tie a Yellow Ribbon’ takes place each year at Forest Holme, during Hospice Awareness Month in June, and has been a special commemorative event for many of our supporters. The day brings the community together in joint celebration of our loved ones who are absent in body but remain with us in spirit.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it is not possible to host Tie a Yellow Ribbon in the usual way at the hospice this year, so instead we asked our supporters to create their own works of art inspired by the yellow ribbon.
A selection of our wonderful supporters’ artwork is now on display at several locations around central Poole for you to enjoy. We may not be able to come together for one day for ‘Tie a Yellow Ribbon’ but we hope the Forest Holme Arts Trail will bring families and friends together for a safe walk to appreciate what has been created in support of your local hospice.
The artwork will be on display throughout the month of July. No need to walk into venues in order to see the artwork, all will be displayed in windows and shop fronts. Please ensure you follow all the latest government guidance on social distancing and be mindful of others around you.
