Staff at digital marketing agency Bespoke 4 Business recently voted for their new charity of the year for 2017 with Poole-based Forest Holme Hospice declared the worthy winner.
The twenty-five strong workforce at Bespoke 4 Business were asked at the end of last year to nominate local charities close to their heart, with a shortlist of three being put to the final vote.
Supporting charitable causes is important to company owner and Director Anthony Tilley: “In 2016, we supported Julia’s House and contributed more than £2,000 to them through various fundraising events and internal activities such as dress down days and our very own B4B British Bake Off. I’m sure this year will be no different with our kind-hearted staff members challenging themselves and donating generously to Forest Holme.”
Forest Holme Hospice, which is part of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, offers a peaceful setting for the care of both patients and their families and carers. Officially opened in January 1995, it is regarded as a centre of excellence for the care of people with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, other neurological conditions, heart failure, renal failure and respiratory illness. Their palliative and end of life care is provided to over one thousand local people each year across Poole, Wimborne and the Purbecks.
Fundraising & Communications Manager at Forest Holme, Hannah Parsons, is delighted to welcome Bespoke 4 Business on board, “Hearing that B4B were supporting us this year was fantastic news. Without the generous backing of local companies, our fundraising would be so much harder. We already have some really exciting events planned for 2017, which I’m confident B4B will support with much enthusiasm!”
In order to raise as much as they can for their newly adopted charity, B4B has formed a new internal charity committee who will take charge of planning their fundraising activities and events.
