Forest Holme’s Light up a Life service is an opportunity to come together to remember and reflect on the wonderful moments spent with our loved ones.

This year’s service will take place at Long Barrow Ceremony Hall, Harbour View in Lytchett Minster on Thursday 25th November at 6.30 pm and is open to anyone, not just people whose loved ones were cared for at Forest Holme. The service will be a mixture of carols, readings, prayers and will be followed by sherry and mince pies and it would be lovely if you could join us.

The service will also be streamed live online for those who cannot make it to the event on the night.

It is free to attend and although you do not need to pre-register, if you are planning on attending or would like to be sent the link to watch the service online, please let us know by completing the short form below.

The service signals the start of our Light up a Life Appeal, which continues in the run-up to Christmas with a special Remembrance Tree in the Dolphin Centre in Poole. The appeal raises money to support the work of Forest Holme Hospice, helping to enhance the lives of patients and their families from across Poole, Wimborne and the Isle of Purbeck.

    Tree of Remembrance

This Christmas we invite you to remember a loved one by dedicating a star on our Tree of Remembrance. This year the tree will be in the Dolphin Centre outside M&S and you can visit us at our stand just next to the tree, to make your dedication.

Forest Holme’s Christmas shop will be back this year and again will be in the Eco Hub, on the first floor of the Dolphin Centre, opposite Wilkos. The shop will be open from Monday 6th until Saturday 18th December (closed Sundays) and will be selling a selection of festive merchandise, handcrafted items, and Christmas cards.

If you cannot make it to our Christmas shop to make your dedication you can donate and make a dedication online via the Forest Holme website. Click on the button below to donate. When making your donation please choose ‘Light Up a Life’ as your reason for donating and then write your loved ones name and your message in the following box.

Your loved one’s name will then be handwritten onto a Light Up a Life star and displayed on our Tree of Remembrance.

This year’s Light Up a Life event is very kindly supported by Tapper Funeral Service.
