Forest Holme celebrates Poole in Bloom Award

Forest Holme Hospice Charity is celebrating another blooming success after its dedicated team of volunteer gardeners received a Silver Award in the Loving Care Home category at this year’s Poole in Bloom Awards.

The award follows an impressive three consecutive Gold Awards in the same category, recognising the continued hard work, care and dedication of the volunteers who help keep the hospice gardens looking beautiful throughout the year.

Members of the volunteer gardening team attended the awards ceremony at Compton Acres, enjoying an evening celebrating the achievements of gardeners and community groups from across Poole.

Over the years, Forest Holme has also received recognition for its sensory garden and hanging baskets and containers, reflecting the care and attention given to every corner of the hospice grounds.

From the peaceful sensory courtyard overlooked by patients’ rooms to the tranquil rear garden and wildlife garden, these outdoor spaces play an important role in creating a welcoming and calming environment for patients, families, staff and visitors.
