Hospice scoops another eco award

Forest Holme Hospice is celebrating another major sustainability achievement after winning the Eco Award at the Bournemouth and Poole Business Awards 2026.

The award recognises organisations that are making a meaningful environmental impact through innovation, responsible practice and long-term commitment to sustainability within their sector and local community.

The latest success follows Forest Holme recently becoming the first and currently only organisation to receive the Greener Palliative Care Silver Award, recognising its leadership in environmentally responsible hospice care.

The hospice has introduced a number of practical initiatives through its staff-led Green Group, which brings together colleagues from across the organisation to explore ways of embedding sustainability into everyday hospice life.
