The team at Forest Holme is led by three palliative medicine consultants –Dr Saskie Dorman, Dr Amy Pharaoh and Dr Beverley Lee – and associate specialist Dr Anna Gajewska who work in the hospice, hospital and community. Our inpatient ward is lead by Matron for Oncology and Palliative Care, Andrea Moxham and Senior Staff Nurse, Claire Boyd.

There is a weekly meeting of all the professionals who are involved in the provision of specialist palliative care. This is called the MDT (multidisciplinary team) meeting. All patients who are under our care are discussed at this meeting from time to time, to ensure that they are getting the best management. Decisions made at the meeting are discussed with the patient by their palliative care nurse specialist.

The team at Forest Holme includes:

  • Specialist and generalist palliative care nurses
  • Health care assistants
  • Occupational therapist
  • Lymphoedema specialist nurses
  • Counsellors.
