Bereavement Befriender service

Dealing with grief can often feel like a solitary journey, but here at Forest Holme, we extend a comforting hand through our Befriender Service. The service is available to those who have lost a loved one who has been under the care of Forest Holme Hospice.

Our dedicated trained Befriender volunteers, with their own personal encounters with grief, are here to accompany you for up to six sessions. They provide a compassionate listening ear and create a safe, confidential space where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions regarding bereavement.

Whether you prefer a heartfelt conversation over a cup of tea or coffee, a reflective walk, or a chat on the phone – the choice is entirely yours!
